The Mobile Bar Foundation is the charitable arm of the Mobile Bar Association. Established in 1994, the Foundation's mission is to support programs that promote the legal system, the administration of justice and otherwise promote the betterment of the legal profession and local community.
The primary sources of income for the Foundation are annual membership donations paid by members of the Mobile Bar Association as well as other donations received from a variety of different giving levels too. Additional sources of income include fundraisers and contributions from supporting individuals and organizations.
Each year a portion of the funds raised by the Foundation are distributed to qualified non-profit organizations in the community. These grant awards are made by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, which is also responsible for the management and overseeing all investment funds. The Grant application process is available in the Fall and due at the end of October. For more information on the granting process, please click here.
